i can preserve a child's smile,
make any woman feel beautiful,
freeze time & capture a moment
with the snap of a finger.
I am proud to say I am a photographer by instinct. My clients have dubbed mi a “transformation artist” as I have been told I bring the inside to the outside and make them feel comfortable, beautiful and fabulous.
I began my photography journey in Alaska in 2005 when I took some nature shots to make blank note cards for a friend who was leaving her home state for a year. She loved them so much and told mi I had found my artistic niche. I entered 4 photos in the Alaska state fair and took 3 honorable mentions and one blue ribbon. I began taking senior portraits and took some photography 101 classes at a local community college.
Since my journey began, I managed an Olan Mills Portrait studios for nearly two years, homing in on my skills and learning more about posing, lighting, etc. Although what I call “cookie cutter photography,” I learned much during my time there and won several company National Awards using my images in their advertising and promotional materials worldwide.
I have since had images published in magazines and won numerous online and awards and photography contests. One of my images was selected and featured in their “best of the year 2015 hardback, collector’s coffee table book.”
In searching for my personal style and niche, I discovered what I call “ooh-lal-la” (or boudoir) as my specialty. The look on the face of a woman who has just discovered how beautiful she is truly is what drives mi.
